Team TRiCKETT Varsity Jacket

Here at TRiCKETT HQ we have a bit of an obsession with varsity jackets. Whether that is because they star in so many American films, they are a beautiful piece of kit or they just look great on anyone, we think that everyone needs one in their wardrobe. It has taken far too long for us to make one, but now that we are here, we decided to go big.

Before we go too much further let us get into the materials used. Because we don’t mess about we have gone to two of the United States finest material manufacturers to make our jacket. The wool is made by the world famous Pendleton woollen mills and leather comes from Chicago’s finest, Horween. These manufacturers are some of the finest in the entire world, renowned for their dedication, craftsmanship and quality.

The jacket is then put together in the United States by Aaron and his family, who run one of the last remaining, family owned award jacket companies in the country. There are so many details on this jacket that I could write a book, but in the interest of keeping you interested, I will try and keep it brief.

We believe that all varsity jackets need a letter on them, that is why we have a proud chenille T on the left hand chest. All these jackets you see with no logos on just aren’t right. The body is made from wool with two welt hand warmer pockets to the front (with leather openings) and navy blue snaps up the front. The collar, cuffs and hem is a woollen knit that is made in-house by Aaron and is a 2 stripe to remind us of the fact that my parents never let me have name 3 stripe trousers to play out in. Leather sleeves finish the outer of this jacket perfectly and make it the perfect varsity. Inside the jacket is lined in poly-stain like the originals and there is an inside pocket for all of your favourite things.

This is a jacket that will last you a lifetime and you don’t even need to look after it that well. We believe that investing in beautiful things that last years and get better with age is better for you, the planet and your wardrobe, so go on, join the team today.

**We sometimes have stock of these jackets, but in most cases please allow 6-8 weeks for production. If you size is not in stock it will state next to the option, the amount of time the jacket will take to be made. If there is no time next to it, the jacket is in stock.**
