Car Club Coat

Here at TRiCKETT HQ we have a bit of an obsession with Los Angeles and cars. Whether that is because they inspired my choices in music, style and pretty much everything else or it was because a fella in Los Angeles told me where to get great tacos from once whilst wearing one, we figured that it was important to make it. The jackets are sometimes referred to as clicker coats or finger tip jackets and have been a staple of LA car culture since the late ’40s.

Before we go too much further let us get into the materials used. Because we don’t mess about we have gone for the best wool makers in the USA. The melton fabric is made by the world famous Pendleton woollen mills, this manufacturer is one of the finest in the entire world, renowned for their dedication, craftsmanship and quality.

The jacket is then put together in the United States by Aaron and his family, who run one of the last remaining, family owned award jacket companies in the country. There are so many details on this jacket that I could write a book, but in the interest of keeping you interested, I will try and keep it brief.

The jacket itself comes in a slightly longer length to keep you nice and toasty warm in you ’64 Impala that doesn’t have a heater. The cuffs and collar are made from a knitted wool rib which is manufactured on-site by Aaron with a plain hem. The front has navy blue snaps right up to the collar. The inside of the jacket is lined in diamond quilt for extra warmth and it has an inside pocket for your Les Ferdinand stickers.

This is a coat that will last you a lifetime and you don’t even need to look after it that well. We believe that investing in beautiful things that last years and get better with age is better for you, the planet and your wardrobe, so go on, join the team today.

**We sometimes have stock of these jackets, but in most cases please allow 6-8 weeks for production. If you size is not in stock it will state next to the option, the amount of time the jacket will take to be made. If there is no time next to it, the jacket is in stock.**
